It holds no lease, share, management contract or other stake in Le Manoir Richelieu, Hilton Lac-Leamy or Casino Rama Resort, and none of those three properties pays to be included. Funding

Referral commission keeps the lights on. A reader clicks through to a hotel, books, and a partner network may later send us a small fee for that booking. Nothing else is sold: no display space to hotels, no paid positions, no sponsored paragraphs. The affiliate page goes into more detail.

Choosing the three

A property earns a card only if its hotel half would justify the drive on its own. Four tests decide it: rooms that are comfortable and cared for; a spa or wellness offer guests actually book; dining and evening entertainment with some substance; and an arrival and departure that do not eat the whole weekend.

Sources are the hotels' own pages, Quebec and Ontario tourism boards and established travel publications. Figures we cannot pin down, such as room totals or construction dates, are simply left out.

Scope of the writing

Our notes stick to beds, food, treatments, landscape and logistics. The casino side is never described here, and no link on this site leads to a gambling service. Anything that shifts often, like charges or minimum ages, is turned into a prompt to ring the hotel.

Fixing mistakes

Spot something outdated? Send the hotel name and the questionable line to contact@lumoriaon.com. We test the claim against official hotel material, rewrite where needed and update the date shown above. Properties may point out errors too, though rank is never for sale.
